Office of the Vice President for Research. This office also oversees several of the College’s Master’s and PhD programs.

The research program of the College is divided into two major components depending on the source of funding: an intramural program that includes the Veterinary Medical Experiment Station and Veterinary Medical Agricultural Research; and an extramural program comprised of a diverse group of federal (NIH, USDA, NSF) and private agencies.

Research and training programs are supported by excellent laboratory facilities. The Veterinary Teaching Hospital and Diagnostic Laboratory are available to support research activities. The Animal Health Research Center provides facilities for studies of emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases.
